Skateboarding!!

OK one of the fun summer activities for Katelynn is to learn how to skateboard. I found a rec center with a skateboarding area, and they are suppose to have an instructor to teach the basics. Well needless to say when we got there today just happens to be a tournament so there were no instructors. There was a man by the name of Kent who offered to give her the basics. He first told her how to position her feet, and then to push with the other foot when she has pushed 3-4times she then puts both feet on the board. She practiced for a bit while he went off to play. When he got back she was able to do these things. Then he said once you get the basics of staying on the board and balance you can start off doing little tricks like lifting the board while in motion or learning to turn side to side.. It was fun to see her do all these things, and even though there was not a real instructor Kent did a great job of giving her direction. Here is my first time at video... Way to go Katelynn!!!
